On the other side, two big pro-Israel lobby groups in the US have condemned Netanyahu for discussing a coalition with some genuinely right wing, racist fucks.

Jezza has missed a trick here - an opportunity to tell Trump what he thinks. He can tell the electorate that he personally made his feelings known.

Result.

You don’t have to like or agree with people to engage with them, certainly at that high table , it’s what good Statesmen and Stateswomen do successfully.

It’s a high profile State Banquet- the world s press will be all over it - and on home turf.

Far more effective and statesmanlike to snub Trump at this "event" as Bercow, Cable, Blackwell and others are doing.

At least Theresa's there to help facilitate the selling off of "our" National Health Service to Trump and his wealthy American friends.

The smart move would be for those who have turned down the kind invitation to have accepted it.....and then just not turned up. A banquet with empty place settings would be a tad more embarrassing for his Trumpness.
