Coventry have never beaten us at Deepdale in the league.

It's another must-win for Frankie.

Maybe he'll win this one.

Coventry’s excellent start to the season has been built on their home form. Away, it’s

Tomorrow: Coventry have only ever beaten us once at Deepdale in the league.

When we don't win these must-win games, what's he saying happens then?

Never been less confident for a match, think we could get completely humiliated. Even if we win both matches this week, it'll just be more papering over of the cracks like the Swansea and Peterborough games

I suppose it’s about 10 years ago now ….maybe more. For every midweek home match under the lights I used to have a few in Gregs club, then stroll onto the concourse to place £10 on a home win whoever we were playing.
I won a fortune!

Win tonight and at the weekend and Frankie is a hero.

Loose both and he’s surely up for the sack.

Important week.

I think this is a really tough one.

Hoping I'm wrong but in front of a much reduced crowd against a decent team with one eye on Saturday it could be a long evening.

We need to start quick & maintain it to get the crowd back onside after Saturdays (lack of) performance.

Frankie has done all the prep (paraphrased below):

1. Coventry always win against a back four.
2. We've had our arses kicked at times as a back four.
3. So we're not doing that.
4. If we can get our wingbacks forward, we can cause them problems.
5. If we can't, we'll be crap again like on Saturday.

So it's 3/5/2, defend, defend, defend.
"If they don't score we can't lose"
Iverson in for another busy 90 mins.

If he plays 3-5-2 and trusts his back 3 to do the defending we would be ok…the problems start when we are a back 5, which is the majority of the time unfortunately.
He needs to tell his wing backs to run their bollocks off for 60 mins and then replace them if necessary.

Will be interesting to see tonight’s attendance. Midweek, awful weather and don’t expect too many Cov fans. Official attendance will include those who have bought 3 for 2 tickets but I’d guess many of those may give this one a miss.

Need to come flying out of the blocks in this one and at Gloomfield.

It would be nice to see us start off on the front foot for a change, rather than waiting to see what the opposition are going to do.
Lets us cause them problems to solve, rather than the other way around.

So 6-2-1-1 again then? Oh joy.
