Fell Walking

Just a hilly waterfall. Jermouk. I don't understand what's weird ha

Must be just me - but it gives me the impression that the water follows a rollercoaster path. After the first part of the fall, the water disappears from view and “should” find a way down either to the left or right - and not turn a bit to the left and race up and over brow that we see in the middle of the picture.

Obviously an optical illusion. Just looks odd. To me 😁

I've got a different angle of it, I'll post later

Did a loop around Nicky Nook, Stake House Fell, and down to the Aircrew Memorial the other day.

Looks great round there when the heather is in full bloom.
Once you get passed the waterworks, the scenery in the valley feels very Scottish on the walk up to the 'castle'. Whatever time of year it's always so peaceful and desolate up there. Bloody love it!

Walked from Abbey village to Ryal Fold and back today. Two fabulous pubs and I found a lovely path back by some waterfalls I hadn’t seen before.
Easy but very pleasant.

Spent a few days hiking in Mala Fatra in Slovakia. Great spot this time of year, still mild weather, and very quiet.

Not quite as mild at 1700m

Looks great SF….

Mind you, the only walking that I do is to and from pubs and restaurants….

Walked up Red Screes from Ambleside yesterday, a cold one. It's a good loop, would definitely do it again on a clearer, warmer day.
