Rudd Retires (Confirmed)

Thanks for your service Dec, and by all accounts a top fella. Hopefully he keeps in touch or involved with PNE even if only in a small

Yeah, what a shame you don't post more.

How about you keep your amateur analysis to yourself, and focus on getting your facts straight so no one can "catch you out" posting bollocks?
I don't know you, but I imagine you're very "hefty" you live with your mum and thete is a towel that's been so abused it will crack like a breadstick.

Club will have him insured along with the contract/player value.
Incredibly difficult to get insurance on an individual level, but he'll be able to draw his PFA pension early because the injury is a career ending one.

Didn’t our very own Mike Marsh retire early from injury and got an insurance payout which meant he couldn’t do play professional football do played part time.

Late posting this, but very sad to hear of Dec’s retirement.

A real pleasure to interview him for North End Souls 3; he was friendly, open and honest throughout, especially when talking about some of the darker moments of his life, on and off the pitch.

The over-riding feeling was how much North End meant to him as a person - the chapter title is ‘Lifeline’ and if you read it you’ll see why.

Sad that we won’t see him in action again but great that we’ll be able to give him a proper send-off on Tuesday night. 👏

Hope it all goes well for him, whatever he ends up doing. 😊

Marsh was able to play up to National League level under the Compensation Clauses. Kiddy went up as Champions and he couldn't join them in L2 without paying back the payout.

Maybe Dec will turn out, to keep fit and for the love of the game, with Lowestoft Town as they are local.

Best of luck, Dec.

Decent keeper.
